Riverside Living with a Local Feel
Tucked along the southern banks of the James River, Westover Hills and Stratford Hills offer a rare blend of city convenience and laid-back charm. These leafy neighborhoods are known for their strong sense of community, walkable streets, and easy access to parks, trails, and river views. Whether you’re sipping coffee on Forest Hill Avenue or kayaking from Pony Pasture, life here feels comfortably connected—and I’ve loved helping families discover just how special this corner of Richmond really is.
🏛️ A Little History
Westover Hills began to develop in the early 20th century as one of Richmond’s original “streetcar suburbs,” drawing families with its Craftsman bungalows, stately brick Colonials, and proximity to the James River. Stratford Hills followed in the post-WWII era with larger lots, ranch-style homes, and mid-century modern designs tucked into the rolling hills near Forest Hill Park and Chippenham Parkway. Today, both neighborhoods are known for their architectural variety, mature trees, and friendly, established vibe.
