Leafy Streets, Timeless Style
Just north of the city center, Ginter Park and Bellevue offer the charm of historic homes, front porch living, and a tight-knit community vibe. These neighborhoods are full of mature trees, wide boulevards, and families who truly love where they live. With easy access to downtown, the Diamond District, and the James River, this is a spot where classic Richmond character meets everyday livability—and it’s one I know inside and out.
🏛️ A Little History
Ginter Park was developed in the late 19th century by Richmond philanthropist and tobacco magnate Lewis Ginter, designed as one of the city’s first streetcar suburbs. It features stately Colonial Revival, Tudor, and Craftsman-style homes, many of which remain beautifully preserved. Just to the west, Bellevue grew alongside Ginter Park and shares its historic roots, with cozy bungalows and four-squares that have drawn generations of Richmonders. Today, both neighborhoods thrive with a mix of families, young professionals, and longtime locals who take pride in their surroundings.
